Cavatelli and Broccolini

Ingredients

3 heads of broccolini (cup off stems) 1 1/2 lbs. fresh cavatelli pasta (or frozen) 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 4 garlic cloves (chopped) 1 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional) 4 tablespoons Locatelli Pecorino Romano grated cheese

Preparation

Put Cavatelli in a pot of salted water and put aside. Cut up the broccolini and put on the side. In a sauce pan, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, saute garlic, rinse broccolini and put into sauce pan and stir. While in the sauce pan cut the broccolini into smaller pieces and saute 3-5 minutes. Strain pasta and put into serving dish, add Locatelli cheese, add broccolini to the pasta and garnish with red pepper.
